his former labourers cottage was named Granaat only to discover later that there are in fact a old few pomegranate trees growing not far from it. They served as inspiration to plant a whole lane of both the old and the new variety of trees.

Situated on a hill overlooking some of the surrounding farms and a poplar grove, Granaat Cottage boasts a large stoep in the front and a substantial dam at the back. It has two bedrooms , both with a double bed, one with an en suite bathroom and the other one opening onto the stoep. From the living area and kitchen (which include a fireplace, a proper cast iron Dover wood oven and a cosy corner to soak in the winter sun) stairs go up to the loft with 4 single beds and roof windows to watch the stars. There is a second bathroom and separate toilet inside as well as a warm shower outside. Granaat Cottage is about 2km from the Beloftebos Wedding Venue
